The owners did not start out to create a distillery. But when they began serving up drinks and taste explosions at their restaurant, Church Street Cafe, they wanted to make sure their wonderful customers never experienced bland, characterless drinks. That’s when they created the Spirits of Old Town distillery for all who visit to experience the finest flavors in all of Albuquerque.

Church Street Cafe is located in the beautiful and historical Casa de Ruiz (“house of the Ruiz”), which was built in 1706, making it the oldest residence in Albuquerque and one of the oldest structures in the state of New Mexico.

Our Story
Spirits of old town is a sister company to Church Street Cafe, located just a block from here behind San Felipe church. We have a long running tradition of serving the Old Town community. With a longtime vision of opening the very first and only distillery in history in old town Albuquerque, we finally brought that vision to a reality. This distillery is built in one of the oldest buildings in the old town ABQ area. We focused on keeping most of it’s original structure. We have a vision and dedication to produce quality in-house boutique artisan craft sprits. We carefully built the distillery room with one key objective, and thats small batch quality spirits. You’ll find in each bottle the unique handcrafted smoothness of each product produced outta here. We’ve added the most up to date RO system to give it the quality of water spirits deserve! Our Distillery’s Heritage
